fireplace
When you arrive it will take a while for the house to warm up as it will be almost as cold inside as outside. But once it's warm, you can keep the heat well. To make the first few minutes after your arrival more pleasant, we recommend switching on the gas heater in the kitchen and lighting the fireplace straight away.

1. Prepare the fireplace as you are used to it
You'll find the firewood in the shed outside

2. Please check that the settings for the chimney ventilation shaft are correct (it should be fixed in the middle borehole

Important

3. Make sure that all doors in the house are open
This is important so that the chimney works and avoids the whole house being filled with smoke

4. Now it's time to light up the fire

5. Close the doors as soon as the fire is burning and you have the feeling that the smoke goes up the chimney instead of the room.

stove
The same instructions also apply to the stove and the oven.

Very important:
In order to use the stove, it is necessary to have a burning fire in the main fireplace as well.
If there is only a fire burning in the stove, it will only generate smoke since the chimney can only function when the main fire is burning.
